22-24 September 2010, ConSoil, Salzburg (Austria)

With more than 800 participants and a line-up of more than 200 top international speakers from environmental sciences from over 35 different nations, the ConSoil 2010 took place in Salzburg / Austria from 22–24 September 2010. The primary goal of the Conference was the presentation of the recent soil, ground water and sediment restoration concepts and technologies, new functions of the subsurface, new concepts and policies of sustainable management of land use and the subsurface, and results of management of contaminations at the regional scale.

Dr Thomas Hertwig, from Beak Consultants GmbH, presented the results of a case study from Annaberg / Germany, where point measurements of soil contamination with Arsenic have been regionalized using artificial neural network and GIS technologies with advangeo®.
