Task description
- Mapping of FFH-relevant animal species, avifauna and/or habitat types for approval
procedures (renewable energies, raw material projects, land use planning) - Preparation of expert reports/technical statements on special species protection according
to German Nature Conservation Laws and Regulations; collaboration on EIA reports;
environmental construction monitoring - Depending on interests and skills, collaboration on projects in the climate change, geo-
hazards, water and soil, GIS/cartography, remote sensing and software development for
projects in Germany and abroad

- Saxony and Germany
Expected qualifications
- Bachelor’s, Master’s or Diploma degree in the field of environmental/geosciences or biology
Knowledge and experience in at least one of the following fields
- Experience in the preparation of “Landschaftspflegerische Begleitpläne (LBP)”,
“Artenschutzfachbeiträge” and “Umweltberichte (B-Pläne)” - Very good field knowledge of preferably several FFH-relevant species groups/avifauna
- Good knowledge of nature conservation procedures (expert contributions on species
protection, impact assessments on site protection) - Interest in independently deepening knowledge of species
- Knowledge of QGIS or ArcGIS as well as mobile data collection for mapping is advantageous
