Beak exhibits at Mining INDABA 2023 6th - 9th February 2023, Cape Town (Republic of South Africa) At the Mining INDABA 2023, Beak Consultants is excited to presents the latest successful application of its “advangeo® Software Solutions”. In Mozambique, advangeo® products have been used during the digitalization process of the geological documentation centre at the Departamento de Gestão de Informação Geológica-Mineira (DEGIG), on behalf of the Ministry of Mineral Resources and Energy (MIREME), in the frame of the Mining and Gas Technical Assistance Project (MAGTAP) project. The newly implemented customised software solution in Maputo - the “Mineral Information System and Library” - provides for library and documentation management and digital data capture (semi-automatic scanning and storage) as well as a public web-GIS using Esri ArcGIS environment. Beak is also proud to present its new services for remote sensing data interpretation and drone surveying. Starting in 2023, we are working in the Horizon Europe-funded project “Secure and Sustainable Supply of Raw Materials for EU Industry” (S34I) and the BMBF co-funded project “Monitoring of landscape surfaces and biodiversity using drone and satellite data in the model region Lausitz” (LauMon) in Germany to monitor mine tailings by using multispectral data from satellite (EnMAP) and drones. In addition, in the frame of the project “Transition Information Modelling for Transition from Coal Exploitation to a Re-Vitalized Post-Mining Landscape” (TRIM4Post-Mining), co-funded by the EU Research Fund Coal and Steel (RCFS), we successfully developed augmented reality (AR) and virtual reality (VR) applications that we are now bringing to mining operators. The Mining INDABA 2023 conference and exhibition will take place in Cape Town from 6th until 9th February 2023 at the CTICC. Meet our staff members Dr William Zylberman and Luis Alberto Pizano Wagner at our booth D14. You are invited to join them for a small cocktail reception at our booth on 8th February 2023 at 4 PM local time. |
