Beak presents the natural stone cadastre of Saxony

Beak is pleased to participate the annual meeting of the German Geological Society (DGGV) “GeoSaxonia 2024” to be held 23rd until 26th September 2024 at MESSE DRESDEN.

This year’s conference, themed “Geosciences Without Borders” invites geoscientists from Europe and worldwide to convene for a dynamic exchange of knowledge.

GeoSaxonia is organized by DGGV in partnership with the Technical University of Dresden and Senckenberg, and bolstered by the collective expertise of TU Bergakademie Freiberg and Charles University in Prague.

On Thursday, 26th September 2024, Markus Zingelmann from Beak will present “Das Naturwerksteinkataster Sachsen“ in the session “3.e) Mineralische Baurohstoffe – in Forschung und Inwertsetzung” in the Room “Saal St. Petersburg” at 3:15 PM CEST. The natural stone cadastre of Saxony contains a comprehensive historical outline of the use of building stones in Saxony, an overview of the geology of natural building stones in Saxony, a description of the measurement and significance of their petro-physical and geotechnical characteristics as well as an overview of other historically significant Saxon building stones.
